“ We stopped in for lunch at The Smith. The restaurant was bustling, they have a great vibe and the food was spot on. The brunch/lunch menu had raw bar offerings as well as traditional brunch offerings. We shared a Kale and Quinoa salad which was chopped with cranberries and toasted almonds. It was a refreshing twist on salad. The Tomato soup is a meal in itself served with melted cheese on top, it was delicious. We had the lunch special which was corned beef on grilled rye Ruben it was delicious served with fries or side salad. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. They get high marks for presentation. A definite must try if you are in the Lincoln Center area. ”

“ The food was really really good. I had the Ranchero Scramble, one friend had the Baked Eggs Ala Vodka. The other had some kind of a kale salad with chicken. I was super happy with mine. Very tasty. The perfect blend of cheese, eggs and avocado. On blue corn tortilla chips. This is not the kind of food you can make at home. Definitely make a reservation. They are very accommodating. ”

“ My boyfriend and I had brunch today. It wasn't our first time dining here--we had their burger before, and since we were craving one again, we decided to come back. We already knew the burger portions were huge, and they come with either french fries or a salad. We usually go for the fries, which are perfectly crispy and served in a generous portion. The burger was delicious as always. We ordered the meat medium-rare, and it was cooked just right--juicy and flavorful. My boyfriend found it a bit salty, but I actually like it that way, so I wasn't disappointed. We skipped appetizers but couldn't resist dessert. We originally wanted to get their s'mores in a jar, as usual, but unfortunately, it wasn't on the menu today. Instead, we went with the buttermilk pancakes, which were absolutely delicious--fluffy and not overly sweet. The pecan maple butter added the perfect touch. If you ever spot the s'mores on the menu, I'd highly recommend giving them a try! For drinks, we each had a beer with our burgers and coffee with dessert--both were satisfying. The service was good and fast, and they promptly brought out bottles of still and sparkling water. The ambiance was okay, but the only downside was the noise level. It was so loud that I could barely hear our waitress, and it made conversation a bit difficult. ”

“ Came here for a weekday brunch at 10am with a friend, and we were able to grab a table immediately without a reservation. Got the Potato Waffle Benny, and it was delicious! Nice, crispy potato waffle with real strips of shredded potato. Eggs were perfectly runny. Sparkling and still water provided complimentary, which I feel like no other restaurant does. Waiter, Nikolai, was attentive and friendly. Would recommend this spot! ”

“ The food we had at The Smith was closer to a 3.5 but I am going to round up because I felt like I got the best seat in the house, getting to cozy up on a corner but central table. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service here above all. Despite it being a full house, staff was on top of it with timely but not super invasive check ins. We tried the oysters, calamari, salmon tartar, their chocolate cake and had a couple of drinks. The salmon tartar left a lot to be desired. There was something about it that didn't taste fresh. I love the lightness of a salmon tartar and The Smith version's was missing that. However, my date really enjoyed the oysters. The calamari were good too, though I can't say they were a standout. Perhaps the main dishes are a bit better? I'd be willing to give the food another try given the reviews. In any case, I think it's a good spot for drinks and conversation near Lincoln Center. ”

“ This was really a 3 1/2 star experience however we all know half stars aren't possible and since they were better than a solid 3 it's only fair to give them the 4. We visited on the Thursday after Christmas and while the place was pretty busy we were seated quickly. Service started off great yet it slowly declined over the course of the meal. They provide complimentary still and sparkling water which is nice and the menu is rather limited with there not being a soup of the day. I ordered their tomato soup which was the favorite part of my meal, the soba noodle salad and my friend ordered the chips and dip and the goat cheese omelette. All the food was good but nothing to write home about ... I probably wouldn't visit again just because there are so many better options to choose from in NYC. ”

“ I've tried 3/4 The Smith locations in Manhattan and each one is just as charming as the next. We recently had Thanksgiving dinner at The Smith and as a first time experience enjoyed it very much. As a previous review for The Smith mentioned, I had brunch, Lunch and dinner several times in the past. The Lincoln Center location was a first for me.. As expected, it was jam packed. Reservations are highly recommended. It was very noisy and holding a conversation was tough. The server dropped by a couple times until we were ready to place our order. As far as beverages, we each had an Aperol Spritz and tea. I chose Green Mint. I deviated from the usual eggs for brunch and ordered the big salad Kale and Quinoa with Grilled Chicken. My friend craved the Smith Burger. The salad included everything one could ask for: baby Kale, sprinkled quinoa, dried cranberries, slivered toasted almonds and Ricotta Salata (a type of cheese). The dressing was a Dijon Vinaigrette (served on the side per my request). This salad was excellent! Flavorful, filling and fantastic. So glad I chose it. My friend raved about the burger. We are huge fans of The Smith restaurants---any location. A real gem. ”
